An act to amend Section 8604 of the Elections Code, relating to elections.

Existing law prohibits the imposition of a fee or charge for a write-in candidate except in the case of a candidate for city office, as specified.

This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to the above provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 8604 of the Elections Code is amended to read:

8604.

No A fee or charge shall not be required of a write-in candidate except in the case of a candidate for city office, as provided in Section 10228.
