LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST
Existing law establishes the Department of Housing and Community Development in the Business, Consumer Services, and Housing Agency and requires the department to administer various housing programs, including programs intended to fund the acquisition of property to develop or preserve affordable housing.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation to increase the amount of available affordable housing in rural areas.
The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation to increase the amount of available affordable housing in rural areas.
