An act to amend Section 1803 of the Streets and Highways Code, relating to city streets.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST

Existing law grants the legislative body of a city certain powers with respect to city streets and roads. Existing law authorizes the legislative body of a city, if it makes a specified determination, to contract with the board of supervisors of any county for the rental of the county’s equipment for the maintenance, construction, or repair of streets and roads within the city, or for the maintenance, construction, or repair of streets and roads within the city by the county.

This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to this provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 1803 of the Streets and Highways Code is amended to read:

1803.

Whenever the legislative body of a city determines that it is necessary for the more efficient maintenance, construction, or repair of streets and roads within the city city, it may contract with the board of supervisors of any county for the rental, by the city, of such the county’s equipment for the maintenance, construction, or repair of such those streets and roads, or for the maintenance, construction, or repair of such those streets and roads by the county.
