Existing law authorizes the legislative body of a city to control, dispose of, and convey property for the benefit of the city.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to subsequently enact legislation that would require a public bid on any city-owned property valued at $100,000,000 or more.
The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
It is the intent of the Legislature to subsequently enact legislation that would require a public bid on any city-owned property valued at one hundred million dollars ($100,000,000) or more.
