LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST
Existing law requires the Governor to proclaim various days as holidays and days of remembrance. Existing law requires the Governor to annually proclaim the month of June as LGBT Pride Month.
This bill would require the Governor to annually proclaim the month of June, instead, as LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 6728 of the Government Code is amended to read:
6728.
The Governor shall annually proclaim the month of June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
