An act to amend Section 425.7 of the Government Code, relating to state government.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST
Existing law establishes the state flag and the state’s emblems, including, among other things, the saber-toothed cat as the official state fossil.
This bill would establish the Augustynolophus morrisi as the official state dinosaur.
The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 425.7 of the Government Code is amended to read:
425.7.
(a) The Augustynolophus morrisi is the official state dinosaur.
(b) The saber-toothed cat (Smilodon californicus) is the official state fossil.
