For purposes of this chapter, offices of foreign (other nation) banks are divided into classes and ranked in ascending order, as follows:

(a) Representative office.

(b) Nondepositary agency.

(c) Depositary agency.

(d) Limited branch office.

(e) Wholesale branch office.

(f) Retail branch office.
